Whitehorse resident James Lopushinsky endured a final, epic day of incredibly difficult heads up challenges Sunday in order to win the inaugural Canadian Heads-Up Poker Championship. James bested close friend and mentor Brad Booth in a 4 hour match, followed by a 3.5 hour game against professional poker player Huck Seed, who just finished 3rd in the NBC National Heads-Up Championship in Las Vegas, and then a 3 hour grind at the final table where James found himself with less than half of his starting stack within the first half hour, but managed to overcome the short stack and take the title and first prize of $250,000. Congratulations James!!!! Read James' player profile in the forums here.
